Athlete of the Month

We are so excited to celebrate Colin as our athlete of the month for December. Colin is a quiet work horse and has been grinding all fall as he built towards Ironman Arizona, his first Ironman. We knew his potential for having an incredible first Ironman was high, but a first Ironman also carries so many unknowns. When conquering an Ironman your fitness and mindset have to be completely locked in. Colin was ready, and we are beyond thrilled to report that he had an incredible first Ironman. His run splits actually got faster in grueling marathon post 112-mile bike and he came in under 12 hours!

Colin now heads to New Zealand to compete at 70.3 World Championship alongside Cindy from our team in just 1 short week. We will be cheering them both on. But right now, we pause to celebrate Colin’s amazing achievement at Arizona and say ‘well done!’. If you get a chance send him a good luck and congratulations text before he flies out on Saturday.

Here is what Colin says:

“I really appreciate this recognition; it was a perfect day in Arizona, and I can’t believe the wheels never fell off during the run. I’m still riding a high from that finish line. It was a long year leading up to this race and there were a lot of rides where after 5 hours I was questioning what in the world I was doing. But with so much prep all year and knowing I had such a great crew of people watching the tracker, I knew I had to keep moving on the run. Also, Robin said she would come find me if I wasn’t at least jogging between the aid stations. Everything came together as well as I could have hoped and I’m looking forward to attempting to reproduce that in New Zealand!”
